BrainZap turns studying into a game: AI-generated quizzes, points, achievements and leaderboards, plus real-time competitions between players.
My role
Team lead for a 5-developer team — I coordinated the work and contributed across the React front end and the Node.js/Express API.
What I built
- AI-generated quizzes across subjects.
- Profiles with progress — quizzes taken, total points, average score and quiz history.
- Achievements and leaderboards to keep players coming back.
- Real-time competitions between players.
- Auth with Firebase; data in MongoDB behind an Express and GraphQL API.
